Abstract Portal & Submission
The ENC 2026 Abstract Portal is now closed.
All submitted abstracts are reviewed, and authors have been notified regarding their oral presentation or a poster presentation at ENC 2026.
Peer reviewed papers for accepted abstracts will be published and indexed as part of the conference proceedings (see below).
Thank you for your interest in presenting at ENC 2026!
Full Paper Submission
Authors of accepted abstracts have the option to submit a full paper. The deadline for full paper submission has been extended to 18 May 2026.
Note that submission of a full paper is not required for presentation at the conference, but papers submitted for publication will only enter peer review if presented at the conference. For posters, one of the authors must present it during the Poster Session.
Submissions are limited to scientific (research) papers. All submitted papers will undergo a further peer review process. Authors who choose to submit a full paper may be invited to review a manuscript within their area of expertise.
Publication
Accepted papers will be published in a dedicated volume of the Open Access journal Engineering Proceedings (ISSN 2673-4591) and in the Conference Proceedings e-Book (with ISBN), both published by MDPI. The Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license will apply, meaning that authors retain copyright and the content can be reused with attribution. All published papers will be assigned a digital object identifier (DOI) and citable.
General Paper Guidelines
Papers should cover high-quality scientific work and create an advance towards the current knowledge that is of interest to the scientific community. Papers should not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Papers must be original and include adequate referencing as expected in scientific work. Specialized software will be applied to identify potential plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. Papers will also be screened for excessive self‑citation. Papers that do not pass these checks will be returned to the authors for revision.
In case a paper is deemed to be of a commercial nature, the conference organisers reserve the right to reject the paper.
Formatting Guidelines
Papers should be written in clear English language (MDPI publishes in US English). Paper length must be between 4 and 9 pages. Note that this refers to the total page count (including abstract, references, appendices, etc.). The paper length requirement must be strictly complied with.
You can download the template to be used for scientific papers in Microsoft Word format and LaTeX format here. Papers must strictly comply to these templates provided by MDPI. Please note that all sections of the template (e.g. Institutional Review Board Statement) are required, even if followed by a “not applicable” statement.

Paper Submission Procedure
The MDPI Sciforum platform is used for paper submissions and reviews. The practical steps to submit a paper are detailed in the Paper Submission Procedure document. Please read the information in this document carefully.
Two steps are required. The first step can be done at any time before your paper is ready. It is recommended to complete the first step as early as possible. The second step is the actual submission of the paper:
- For papers in Word format, upload your .docx or .doc file.
- For papers LaTeX format, upload a .zip file containing your original LaTeX file(s) and a PDF version of your paper.
Please refer to the Paper Submission Procedure document above for detailed instructions.
Before submitting your paper, please double-check that it complies with all requirements. Commonly encountered problems with submitted files include: exceeding the maximum paper length of 9 pages; not using the templates; for submissions in LaTeX format: not including a PDF version of the paper in the .zip file.
Paper Reviews
All submitted papers will undergo a further peer review process. Review comments on submitted papers will be sent to the authors no later than 24 July 2026. If any revisions are required, revised papers will be due within three weeks of receipt of the review comments.
Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
